Containerized or fully assembled: which delivery method fits your site?

The best delivery method is not simply the cheapest ocean rate. It is the method that can travel from the factory to the final foundation without creating an impossible road, lifting or assembly problem.

Fully assembled delivery

The factory completes the home as one large unit. At the destination it normally travels on a full-size articulated or specialized truck and is placed with a crane. This minimizes site assembly but requires generous road width, turning space, overhead clearance and a safe crane position.

  • Oversized freight and inland transport may cost more
  • Route constraints can eliminate otherwise suitable sites

Containerized modular delivery

The factory separates the home into protected, labeled modules that fit container transport. The sections can transfer to smaller local trucks and are joined at the prepared site using drawings and guidance.

  • Better suited to constrained or remote access
  • Standard container handling may simplify parts of the route
  • Requires an experienced assembly crew
  • Often requires a forklift rated around five tons, plus sealing and utility completion

Questions to answer before choosing

  • Can a long articulated vehicle reach the unloading point?
  • Are there tight corners, bridges, gates, low wires or steep grades?
  • Is there enough stable ground for a crane or forklift?
  • Can skilled local labor complete modular assembly?
  • Which method produces the lower total delivered-and-installed cost—not merely the lower freight line?

Confirm the entire destination route before production. If access is unknown, document the narrowest roads, turns, overhead obstacles, gate dimensions and unloading area. Choose the manufacturing route only after the final-site delivery method is credible.
